Montgomery County canines will find free doggy treats at area dog parks and other pet friendly locations this weekend.  The Best Friends Pet Care Treat Truck for Dogs is heading back to town with canine cookies and ice cream. 

The colorful, doggy-logo’d truck will be visiting locations around the county this week, including Best Friends Gaithersburg pet care center, 395 Muddy Branch Road. The truck will be stationed at the Green Park Dog Exercise Area in Gaithersburg on Saturday.  Other stops include Bark! Pet food stores in Gaithersburg, Rockville and Olney.

Best Friends, which offers boarding, grooming and day camp in Gaithersburg, Rockville and 40 other locations nationwide, created its Treat Truck for Dogs to give the community a taste of the fun and caring its staff provides to pet guests every day in its pet care centers. The Treat Truck has been on the road since summer 2011 and has visited 18 states across the eastern and central U.S.
