Beer Store Burglar Caught on Camera

Up to $1,000 reward offered for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment in Jan. 13 break-in.

Police are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect in an early morning robbery of a Montgomery Village beer store last week.

A surveillance image issued today shows the suspect behind the counter of the Goshen Beer & Wine store at 9150 Rothbury Drive—in the Goshen Plaza shopping center—after police say he forced his way inside at 4:12 a.m. on Jan. 13.

The suspect—described as a black male with short black hair and dressed in black clothing—took undisclosed merchandise and “business proceeds” before fleeing the store, police said.

Anyone with information on the incident or the suspect is asked to call investigators at 240-773-6248. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or at 240-773-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment. Anonymous tips can also be provided by texting “MCPD” plus the information to 274637 (CRIMES).

He's in profile but there is enough there for him to be indentified. Good luck with trying to explain why you were in a business at 4 am !

Doesn't say store was "in business" @ 4 AM. Article specifically states perp forced his way into the store. And what does the hour of business have to do with anything. A break in is a break in and a robbery is a robbery. Pure and simple a 'criminal act' any time, any place, Restricted Access. If Beer and Wine store WAS open at that hour, should we now say it is acceptable and 'free pickings'/ a RIGHT for thugs! Rhetorical!
