'Binders Full of Women' and Other Presidential Debate Humor
With the scrappy second debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama came a flood of humor on social media.
What some news outlets called one of the most contentious presidential debates in history sparked an equally intense reaction on social media, much of it rooted in humor.
During a question on how the candidates would rectify pay disparity for women, GOP candidate Mitt Romney touted his effort to hire women at the top levels of state government when he was Massachusetts governor.
"I went to a number of women's groups and said, 'Can you help us find folks,' and they brought us whole binders full of women," Romney said.
The comment immediately went viral on social media.
By the time the major networks ended their coverage of the debate there were 13 Facebook groups dedicated to Binders Full of Women, one of which had 70,000 "likes."
In another attempt at humor, Shelby White, a visual designer from Portland, OR, was at it again. Founder of Designspiration, he swapped the politicians' hair using Photoshop at the time of the first debate. This time he put each of the candidates' own wives hair on their heads in a split-screen shot.
There were plenty of other attempts at political humor, some more tasteful than others.

I fell asleep halfway through, finding them too serious and not dealing with the real issues such as climate change. But I woke up in time to hear a PBS commentator say "Women full of binders".

Actually, it was an important moment that showed Romney is about as liberated about women as Ward Cleaver (his doppelganger) and can't keep from lying. MassGap came to him, and was formed before his election.

I see you are STILL a fool, Defino. Romney deals with professional women and they don't have one page resumes or their resume scribbled on a napkin. It proves that Romney looks for competent people to do the job. Unlike you, the people Romney looks at, come with their resume in a binder because they have done so much in their lifetime and not sit on their fat butt and collect a government handouts. If you looked at some REAL factual data, you would see the women he has put into positions (yes, even democrats). Three times more than NObama has. Get the facts instead of talking out your butt.

There are millions of binders of women in the offices of the unemployment offie thanks to the Obama administration policies but that does not matter, it only matters when a republican says anything.

Marcus Aurelius I wish I could cosign with you but the Obama administration had nothing to do with all of those women who worked for Black and Decker down there on the Eastern Shore whose jobs went south of our borders to good ole Mexico.
If I were a greedy CEO who only cared about money, I would outsource knowing good and well people would blame Obama and not my greedy self and still buy my products. But then again here is another example of how we argue amoung our fellow Americans while our govornment runs all willie nillie and we the people are getting the life sucked out of us and the middle class is dwindling. Lets research companies who are employing Americans and invest in them, buy from them. Let tell Apple build your product here not in China and I'll buy them. Guess what It's not the Obama administration alone! It's me it's you buying all of this crap coming in from overseas. And guess what! When we had a chance to buy American many of us didn't until there is very little American made anything besides babies and guess what! Thanks to all of these dead beat dads your tax dollars are taking care of them to.

Hell, it is a well known fact that Apple has been using Foxxcon for yrs to build their product. Every mother board just about for computers are built there also. Just about every piece of electronics you get is put together in China. If you look back in history, you will find that Hillary (when she was on the BOD at Walmart, worked with the chinese to have more and more manufactured over there. WhenSlick willie got into the white house, he made more deals with the chinese. But as a bottom line to the stockholders, it had to be done. What needs to be done and Romney is going to do it, is reduce the corporate taxes so American companes can compete with other countries whose companies pay very little corporate tax.

Do not be deceived. Romney is playing the "good cop" role in the 2012 "election dog & pony show". Unfortunately for the USA Romney is bought and owned by the very same banking cartel that owns Obama. Lowering the corporate tax rate in the USA is not going to fix anything as it is merely a distraction to cover the new world order's agenda. The US $ must collapse in order to initiate a multi national currency (much like the euro). Ultimately all currencies will be collapsed systematically to usher in a one world currency. No matter who wins the election the USA will continue on the path of slowly being dismantled to the point where the people of the USA are begging for anyone to save them. When that happens the new world order will gladly step up to seize control of what is left of the once great USA.
