Preliminary results remain unchanged with addition of provisional ballots.
The preliminary results are now official.
Last night the Gaithersburg Board of Supervisors of Elections certified the re-election of Jud Ashman, Cathy Drzyzgula and Ryan Spiegel to the City Council.
Four provisional ballots were added to the overall count, which rose to 2,899, or 9.31 percent of eligible voters.
Spiegel was the top vote-getter, earning 2,156.
Ashman came in second with 1,969.
And Drzyzgula rounded out the winners with 1,856 votes.
Challengers Tom Rowse and Paula Ross, after provisional ballots were counted, received 1,134 and 1,001 votes respectively.
The elected candidates will be sworn in at the Nov. 14 Mayor and Council meeting at City Hall.

I'm sorry. I live in the east side of the city that "don't" count in the minds of you people that live on the west side of the city. Thanks for the grammer lesson. I went to Gaithersburg High School, and Mr.Day, you probably went to a private school. I still don't understand your comment about "tail between your legs?" Mr Day , If you think the city was so great, why did you leave?

I haven't gone anywhere. I live in Olde Towne. You have some ill conceived misconceptions. Why would you assume I went to private school and that I have left Gaithersburg?

To Clark Day or Citizen--I would like to know what and how, "Tail between their legs," was used. Was this post of Mr. Day's deleted? Thank you for your vote and support Citizen. It takes guts to run in any campaign and I am proud to have run a clean campaign which none of the incumbents can claim.
