Handicapped Dog Draws Love, Attention in the Kentlands

Have you seen Samed, the handicapped dog, in the Kentlands? Tell us about it!

Seeing a person taking a dog for a ride in a stroller is a peculiar sight. But as the owner pushes the approaching stroller closer enough for passers-by to see the "handicapped dog" sign, it all makes sense.

Funny looks quickly turn to questions and kindness for Anthony Camargo and his dog, Samed, while taking walks through the Kentlands, The Gazette reported.

Camargo, of Darnestown, told The Gazette he is stopped, on average, between 20 and 25 times during each walk with his dog, who is incapable of using her legs. But Camargo believes people are for the better after talking to him and meeting Samed.

“People’s perceptions totally change,” Camargo told The Gazette. “[They] come up and interact. I’ve never had a negative experience.”

Read the full story about Camargo and his handicapped dog, Samed, who was found as a stray in Thailand four years ago, on The Gazette.

Have you encountered Anthony Camargo and Samed during one of their strolls through the Kentlands? Tell us in the comments!

I hope this isn't a duplicate post, but I wanted to thank you for all you're doing for Samed! Have you thought about getting her a wheelchair? I bet she'd love to run around! There's a special place in heaven for people like you!
