Man Found Near Shady Grove Metro Died From Gunshot Wounds
John P. Ryan, of Frederick, MD, was found dead in the trunk of his car Dec. 3 in Derwood.
A 37-year-old man who was found dead in the trunk of his car parked in a Montgomery County parking lot died from two gunshot wounds to the head, The Gazette reported.
The body of John P. Ryan, of Frederick, MD, was found Dec. 3 in the trunk of his 2007 Lexus, police said. An undisclosed amount of cash and marijuana also was in the trunk.
The car was found parked in a parking lot used by multiple businesses in the 15000 block of Somerville Drive in Derwood, MD.
Maryland State Police told The Gazette Ryan's death is still under investigation and a spokesman for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore said the case was classified as a homicide.
Police said Ryan was reported missing by his wife on Nov. 29. The last time she saw him at their home was on the night of Nov. 27.
The parking lot where Ryan was found is in the same block as Shady Grove Metro.
