On the Agenda: New Playground, Water Park Renovations
The Gaithersburg City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The council scheduled to approve the purchase and installation of a new $150,000 playground at Bohrer Park.
The approval of the new playground is part of the Gaithersburg City Council's regular meeting agenda. The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the council chambers at City Hall.
Mayor Sidney Katz will also deliver several proclamations including two designating May as Active Older Adult Month and Historic Preservation Month.
The council will also get an update on the $1.4 million Gaithersburg Water Park renovations, which include a new "tot" play area, a new spiral slide and expansion of the existing lap lanes.
The water park opens to the public at noon on May 26.
