One Gaithersburg dog appeared to be enjoying himself at Sunday's Oktoberfest celebration in the Kentlands.

Cooper, an Australian Shephard, had no problem holding on to three or four of his owner's beer mugs as they casually enjoyed the day.

The festival featured German entertainment, beer and new activities including horse-drawn wagon rides, pumpkin painting, and wine-tasting, according to the city. Festival goers tried out authentic Bavarian food and beer and performances by the Alte Kameraden German Band and Alt-Washingtonia Bavarian dancers.
