More police doing actual patrol duty, day and night. Setting up undercover stings. More cameras in certain areas that has huge coverage areas. Involving the community more to help and more ideas. That's just a few to name.

Additionally, any offender who is an alien should be deported.

I am rarely out alone at night...
1. More police patroling
2. Sell police cars that are out of commission to the home owner corporations and aparment complexes. To park throughout the community... It will make it look like a lot of cops live in that communityand hinder some of the crime.
3. Hold parents accountable for their children
4. Stop allowing places like McDonald's to be hang out spots late at night for groups of teenagers.
5. If the state can plaster speed cameras all over the place--- They can surely put up safety/crime cameras, that way you would have a better chance of catching the person(s) commiting the crimes.
6. If your illegal and gang affiliated that should equal automatic deportation, and if your family is on state programs they should be terminated.

These are WONDERFUL ideas!!
7. Have a police officer full time at that plaza!!! He/she can monitor CVS, Deny's and McDonald's as a full time job!!!

The mayor and council firmly believe there is no crime problem in Gaithersburg and this is clearly shown by allowing pockets of poverty to deepen while keeping their heads planted in the ground (or somewhere else) so they can't see this rapidly escalating problem.
