Report: Gaithersburg Man Acquitted of Killing His Son
Wayne Matthew Price was acquitted of first-degree murder in the May shooting death of his son in Gaithersburg.
A Gaithersburg man was acquitted Monday of first-degree murder by a Montgomery County in the May shooting death of his son, The Gazette reported.
Wayne Matthew Price, 51, was also acquitted of second-degree murder, manslaughter and a handgun offense in the May 5 killing of 23-year-old Matthew Eugene Price.
“He can celebrate, but he has still had a significant loss to his family,” Steven Kupferberg, Price’s defense attorney, said after hearing the verdict at 6 p.m. Monday, according to the report. “He will always have to live with that loss.”
