Two of Quince Orchard High School's teams scored surprising victories, according to reports by The Gazette.
The third-seeded Cougars boy's varsity basketball team upset No. 2 Churchill, 62-57, to advance to Friday evening's 4A West region finals with a berth in the state semifinals on the line against No. 1 Magruder, according to The Gazette.
Not to be outdone, the school's four-man 200-yard medley relay team set a state record on its way to winning the Maryland state championship in late February, according to The Gazette.
Quince Orchard's boy's basketball team will face Magruder Friday at Montgomery Blair High School. Read the full story about them here.
