Summit Ave to Close for GHS Construction
Bohrer Park will have to be accessed by Education Blvd.
A popular shortcut to Bohrer Park closed this week due to construction at Gaithersburg High School.
South Summit Avenue, which passes in front of the school and ends at the intersection that leads to the Activity Center and Borher Park, will no longer be usable now that construction has started.
Motorists who want to play mini-golf, hit the boards at the skate park or get wet and wild at the water park will have to access the Activity Center via Education Boulevard.
Gaithersburg High School is undergoing a modernization that will take several years and make it the largest high school in the county.
