In their last public appearance before Thursday's home opener, Teddy, Tom and George visited a retirement home in Northern Virginia.  Abe had another engagement.

The Washington Nationals open their home season at National's Park Thursday at 1:05 p.m. against the Cincinnati Reds.  The Nats are 4 - 2 on the season, having just won two games in their three game series against the New York Mets.

The president's ran their race — Tom won — then visited with retirement home residents and their guests.  In addition to posing for pictures, Teddy, Tom and George flirted with the ladies, played cards with the residents, and shot some pool.

Teddy "said" (with a thumbs-up) he's sure to win the president's race in the home opener. It would be his first.  According to The Teddy Roosevelt Loss-O-Meter on Let Teddy Win!, the president's record is 441 consecutive losses, 0 wins.

Alas, the word I hear is that Teddy lost again. This time in a photo finish.
