DESCRIPTION:Seneca Creek State Park&rsquo\;s Junior Ranger Summer Program
  is part of a statewide effort to get youth actively involved in Marylan
 d&rsquo\;s natural resources. This program specifically aims to teach yo
 uth ages 8 to 14 about Seneca Creek State Park history\, plants\, and an
 imals residents\, while focusing on environmental stewardship. After the
  completion of the program participants will earn a Junior Ranger badge\
 , and certificate.\nThis six week summer program will meet every Wednesd
 ay from 9:00am to 12:00pm\, and between 1pm to 4pm between the dates of 
 June 20th\, and August 1st\, 2012. The morning session will be for ages 
 8-11 and the afternoon session will be for ages 12-14.&nbsp\; There will
  not be a session on Wednesday July 4th.&nbsp\; On August 4th\, the Satu
 rday following the last session\, the participants and their families ar
 e invited to a campfire gathering. &nbsp\;We will then award Junior Rang
 er badges and certificates in acknowledgment of the participant&rsquo\;s
  achievements.
