The Universities at Shady Grove Honors 25 Seniors at 10th Annual Student Achievement and Leadership Awards
The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) today recognized 25 of its top graduating senior students, who have demonstrated leadership, service and dedication to USG and their community. The award winners, who represent the 13th graduating class of students from the nine public universities located on the USG campus in Rockville, Md., were honored today at USG’s 2013-2014 Academic Achievement and Leadership Breakfast.
“These 25 students are all wonderful representatives of the outstanding academic programs offered here at USG, from top public universities from around the state,” said Dr. Stewart Edelstein, USG Executive Director and Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for the University System of Maryland. “We’re so proud of their accomplishments and know they are each poised to succeed in their chosen professions and, more importantly, become outstanding citizens in our global community.”
Exceptional seniors from each undergraduate program offered at USG were eligible to earn the 2013-14 Academic Achievement Award. The student winners were selected on the basis of grade point average, participation in internships, honors societies, and contributions to their program of study.
