In 1997, Berk and his wife Helene created the Sam and Claire Rosen Sports Fund in honor of his grandparents’ interest in the well being of children and their love of baseball. This permanent fund provides sports equipment, supplies, and associated costs to those less fortunate.

Berk will be presented with the award at a special reception and awards ceremony at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis.
