Check out this photo of the Gaithersburg City Bell at City Hall.
According to the Gaithersburg Historical Association's Judy Christensen, the Gaithersburg bell at City Hall is the original bell from the 1893 Epworth Methodist Church on Brookes Avenue. The bell was donated to the city when the owners of the church building at the time were afraid that the rotted condition of the belfry might allow the bell to drop, causing damage or injury.
