PHOTOS: Gaithersburg Giants Make Debut at Criswell Automotive Field at Kelley Park

The Giants fell to the Baltimore Presstman Cardinals on Opening Day.

Rescheduled from Thursday, June 6, due to rain, the Gaithersburg Giants finally celebrated Opening Day at the newly christened Criswell Automotive Field at Kelley Park.

Despite jumping ahead early in the game, the Giants fell, 5-2, to the Baltimore Presstman Cardinals on Tuesday night.

Before the game, the Giants honored four people on the pitcher's mound for the ceremonial first pitch: Harry Criswell of Criswell Automotive, Gaithersburg Mayor Sidney A. Katz, and Laraine and Matt Brady (wife and son of the Giants founder, John Brady, who passed away in 2009).
