West Riding gets their way with Pepco.

After a letter writing campaign directed at Pepco's president, the utility company came to West Riding earlier this year and made repairs to aging wires, the Gazette reports.

About 20 personal letters to Pepco cheif Thomas H. Graham, residents complained about "blue sky" outages, or outages with no obvious cause, and the frustration they felt over regular breaks in service.

By December the power company had heard enough and came in to repair aging underground lines.
