Report: Kentlands To Get New Main Street Sidewalk At Rt. 28 Entrance

Town Courier: Project would cost an estimated $15,000.

The city of Gaithersburg plans to extend the Kentlands' Main Street sidewalk all the way to its entrance at Route 28 (Darnestown Road), The Town Courier reports.

The addition, which has been discussed a number of times, intends to facilitate bikers and runners who might want to get to the larger road, according to the report.

The Main Street sidewalk currently winds throughout the Kentlands and Lakelands, but does not reach the Route 28 entrance, according to the report. It will cost approximately $15,000 to complete.
