Ed Hogan’s stand at the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair ordered up 500-pound blocks of Wisconsin cheese in preparation.
Let the good cheese roll in at this year’s Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. Ed Hogan, aka “The Big Cheese,” is on a quest to build and serve a record number of grilled cheese sandwiches during the fair’s nine-day run, The Gazette reported.
“I’m a vegetarian,” he said. “I don’t eat meat, but I do like cheese.”
And so do fair-goers, according to The Gazette. Hogan’s stand sold 8,400 sandwiches and made $64,000 at last year’s fair.
He wants to serve up 10,000 sandwiches this year.
The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair runs Friday through Aug. 17 in Gaithersburg.
