A Year with Frog and Toad

In partnership with KAT 2nd Stage, the Arts Barn is proud to present A Year with Frog and Toad – a Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) musical by Robert and Willie Reale.  The show runs September 10 through 25, 2011, with performances on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 2pm.  The musical is suitable for ages four and up.

Arnold Lobel’s well-loved characters hop from page to stage in Robert and Willie Reale’s captivating musical version.  Conceived by Mr. Lobel’s daughter, Adrianne Lobel, A Year with Frog and Toad remains true to the spirit of the original tale as it follows two great friends, the cheerful and popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad, through four fun-filled seasons.  Waking from hibernation in the spring, they plant gardens, swim, rake leaves and go sledding, learning important life lessons along the way, including the most important one about friendship and rejoicing in the attributes that make each of us different and special.
