"Little Shop of Horrors" at Gaithersburg Arts Barn

The Arts Barn Theater, in partnership with the Damascus Theatre Company, presents Little Shop of Horrors, an affectionate spoof of 1950s Sci-Fi movies.  Music is by Alan Menken, with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman.  The show will run June 10 through 26, 2011, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Parental guidance is suggested as the material may not be suitable for pre-teens.

Soon “Audrey II” grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien creature poised for global domination!

The New York Post says, “This horticultural horror will have you screaming with laughter….”
