Local Youth To Perform at Capital Fringe Festival

G&S Youth Company to perform Gilbert and Sullivan's "Patience."

If you’re planning on checking out the Capital Fringe Festival this summer, catch some local students take the stage. The G&S Youth Company, directed by Herbert Hoover Middle School theatre director Pamela Leighton-Bilik, will perform Gilbert & Sullivan classic “Patience” during the performing arts festival.

The company is comprised of youth from ages 12-25 and includes performers from Potomac, Bethesda and Gaithersburg. The young dramatists perform the works of Gilbert and Sullivan.

“Patience” will mark the G&S Youth Company’s fifth year of performing at Fringe.

Performances are planned for 6p.m. Friday, and noon and 7p.m. Saturday at the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 900 Massachusetts Avenue in Northwest Washington. Tickets are $17 and are available via www.capitalfringe.com or by calling 866-811-4111.
