33 Gaithersburg Businesses Vie For $250,000 Grant
Several Gaithersburg businesses need at least 250 votes before they are even considered in the running for the grant.
Thirty-three Gaithersburg-area businesses are competing for a $250,000 small-business grant offered by Chase Bank USA and LivingSocial and they need at least 250 votes to have a chance at the big money.
The grant contest's mission is both to increase awareness of the important role small businesses play in local communities and to help small businesses grow. Voting ends June 30. The project is called Mission Small Business.
Mission Small Business will award the grant to up to 12 businesses nationwide ($3 million total). A panel of notable business executives will help select the businesses that will be awarded these grants.
