Chick-fil-A to Open New Location In Kentlands
A restaurant in Lakeforest Mall closed several months ago.
Getting your fried chicken fix will be easier than ever for Kentlands residents when a new Chick-fil-A location opens next month.
Representatives of the company confirmed today that the new locations, in the Kentlands Square shopping center, will open on April 12.
But for the truly die-hard fans of this famous chicken, the salivating will start a day earlier.

As part of their grand opening ritual, Chick-fil-A will be giving away 100 certificates for a one year supply of sandwiches. The line will likely begin to form sometime on April 11, and the first 100 customers when the doors open on April 12 will get 52 certificates for free food.
If there are more than 100 people present, the certificates will be handed out by raffle.

There was one other Chick-fil-A location in Gaithersburg up until a few months ago.
That location, in the , closed because "It no longer presented a viable income opportunity for a franchised operator," according to Anne Lerner, of CP Communications Inc., a public relations firm that represents Chick-fil-A.
The new location and the old location are not owned by the same franchisee, Lerner said.
