When Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot stopped by Positano Ristorante (4948 Fairmont Ave., Bethesda) on Friday to commend owners Luigi, Angela and Jim Traettino for more than 35 years of service in Bethesda, Luigi Traettino—who founded the restaurant in 1977—had one particular question for the comptroller.

Three sides:

The recently shuttered, longtime vegan favorite Vegetable Garden will be replaced by Pho Eatery, according to Bethesda Magazine.

"Pho Eatery co-owner Anthony Vu said the new restaurant will feature pho, plus rice and grilled meat dishes," Bethesda Magazine reported.

Let the good cheese roll at this year’s Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. Ed Hogan, aka "The Big Cheese," is on a quest to build and serve a record number of grilled cheese sandwiches during the fair’s nine-day run, The Gazette reported.
