Optimal Networks, Inc. Wins Tech Council of Maryland’s “Outstanding Place to Work” Award

Rockville, MD—The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM) has honored Optimal Networks, Inc., a technology support, management, and strategic consulting company serving the DC Metro area, with their “Outstanding Place to Work” award. Chosen from among 40 nominations, Optimal was selected for the company’s commitment to innovation and the well-being and professional advancement of their workforce.

This is the first year The Tech Council of Maryland, Maryland’s largest trade association for technology and life science companies, has offered this award. Designed to be an annual honor, it recognizes companies in the Mid-Atlantic region that offer unique benefits and add real value to employees' work and personal lives. Other factors in determining the award winners include how management supports employees and helps them grow through communication, training and direct interactions, as well as how employees are recognized for their accomplishments and how charitable activities fit into the company's culture.

Optimal Networks fosters a tremendous culture of teamwork and compassion that guides every interaction, transaction, and operational decision. The entire Optimal family gathers for Friday morning breakfasts (which the COO cooks) and twice a year the organization holds “Spirit Days”  during which they do something fun to promote collaboration and teamwork (think building structures out of chocolate) and discuss the future goals of the company. Optimal’s comprehensive benefits program even provides paid time off to volunteer and vote. For winning the “Outstanding Place to Work” award, The Tech Council of Maryland will treat Optimal Networks to a catered lunch.

"We congratulate Optimal Networks for winning the TCM Outstanding Place to Work Award,”  said Philip Schiff, TCM’s CEO.  “They have demonstrated that they truly understand their culture, their driving forces, and how to motivate people to achieve in their own environment.”
