Flash Flood Warning Issued for Montgomery County

Warning lasts until midnight.

The National Weather Service has issued the second flash flood warning of the day for Gaithersburg.

This warning lasts until midnight.

The NWS detected an area of "torrential rain" moving north toward the Washington, DC region, which could produce between 1 to 2 inches of rain per hour.

"This amount of rain on top of what we had earlier today will cause more flash flooding of roads...streams and low areas," the NWS said in their warning.
