Brickman Group Volunteers Landscaping Services

For its annual Corporate Founder’s Day service project, about 40 employees with the Brickman Group, the nation’s largest commercial landscape firm, provided their services to the city of Gaithersburg on Oct. 19, assisting with landscaping improvements to the traffic circle and median strips on Education Boulevard near Gaithersburg High School and Bohrer Park.

The Brickman Group worked with Public Works staff in reviewing design plans and choosing a site location. City staff removed and transplanted existing landscaping prior to the project, and provided equipment and help as needed throughout the day. The project was completed in about four hours, and the newly redesigned areas now boast a variety of plants including Crape Myrtle, Salvia, Liriope, and Hollies.
