Hello, Dolly! on stage at Congregation Har Shalom
As the 19th century turns into the 20th, meddler and matchmaker extraordinaire, Dolly Gallagher Levi sets out to find a bride for grumpy half-a-millionaire, Horace Vandergelder. A cast of 41 — including children and teens from 9 area schools — brings this lively comedy to life, with an evening performance on Saturday, February 9th at 8:00 p.m. and a matinee show on Sunday, February 10th at 4:30 p.m.
General Admission tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children (under age 13). Patron tickets, which include reserved upfront seating and parking, are $75 for adults and $36 for children (under age 13). Hello, Dolly! is the latest musical from the Har Shalom Players community theater group. Past shows include: Bye Bye Birdie, Damn Yankees, Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver!, Once Upon A Mattress, and Seussical the Musical.
The Har Shalom Players performance of Hello, Dolly! is produced by arrangement with, and the music and dialogue material are furnished by TAMS-WHITMARK MUSIC LIBRARY, INC. Lyrics and music by Jerry Herman; book by Michael Stewart; based on Thornton Wilder's 1938 farce The Merchant of Yonkers, which Wilder revised and retitled The Matchmaker in 1955. Hello, Dolly! was first produced on Broadway by David Merrick in 1964.
