Contribute your skills and wisdom to make a difference in the life of a child. Volunteer with Interages! Adults (ages 50+) are invited to learn about our opportunities for the 2012-2013 school year at our Volunteer Open House.
As an Interages volunteer, you can:
Help MCPS students from Pre-Kindergarten through High School improve academically, socially & emotionally.
Volunteer at a school near you. We have programs from Takoma Park to Gaithersburg.
Choose from a variety of opportunities including literacy programs, cross-cultural groups, math clubs, discussion circles, and much more.
Commit just 1-2 hours / week. Our programs meet during and immediately after school and we observe all MCPS holidays and closures.
Use your creativity to connect the generations. Plan and lead interactive programs that students and nursing home residents can enjoy together.
Decide what works best for your schedule. We have short-term, weekly, and substitute positions available.
Bring a friend or make new ones. Over 200 dedicated, friendly, intelligent people actively volunteer in our programs.
