Life is full of love and affection throughout the work of Chinesewatercolor artist Irene Tsai. With her Chinese background, Irene captures Chinese culture through a variety of symbolic subjects such as lotus, cranes, pine, and bamboo to echo the purity, longevity, endurance, and flexibility of nature. Working with ink and watercolors on rice paper, Irene uses traditional techniques to express peace and a calm atmosphere. She cordially invites all of you to enter her poetic world. Irene studied calligraphy with her father since she was eight. She first studied traditional Chinese paintings with James Liu and, later on, with Henry Wo.
