Spring Looking Promising for Frederick Co. Real Estate

Maryland residents know that spring can be a very temperamental time of year in the Old Line State - it can be snowing one day, and sunny and 75 degrees the next. It’s no secret that spring weather in Maryland can be a little unstable, but one thing that’s predicted to be solid this spring is Frederick County real estate.

According to a recent article from The Frederick News-Post, local real estate professionals are confident in the housing market in the upcoming months. Winter weather in the area has been particularly harsh this year – just ask our Villages of Urbana residents – but well-priced properties have still been selling fast, and buyers are still looking for properties despite the weather, according to the article.

Winter is a notoriously slow season for real estate – when the weather is cold, potential buyers are more likely to stay inside instead of trudging around in blustery weather looking at houses. When the weather starts to warm up in the spring, the housing market tends to pick up, and local real estate professionals are optimistic that this will be the case in Frederick County. They expect to see more homes on the market in the spring, as well as increased and stable home sales, according to the article.

According to information from The Frederick County Association of Realtors, home prices are on the rise and interest rates are low – making now the perfect time to jump in the Fredrick County real estate market as we head into the spring months.

Though there are various neighborhoods and communities in which to buy a new home in Frederick County, none offer the level of convenience and quality construction that’s inherent in Villages of Urbana. Within our thoughtfully planned community, you’ll find various amenities - such as a community center, tennis courts, and library – as well as shopping, parks, business offices, and excellent schools (see our full community plan to learn more). But the convenience doesn’t end where our community does – our location in southern Frederick County allows for quick access to both neighboring Montgomery County, and charming downtown Frederick. Beautiful new construction single-family homes and townhomes from our builders ensure that our Villages of Urbana residents enjoy this convenience in the best way possible. For the housing industry, the spring months usually mean increased activity, and we can’t wait to see how the housing market will play out in Frederick County in the coming months.  We share the optimism of local real estate professionals, and we can't wait to meet our new Villages of Urbana neighbors who decide to make Frederick County home.
