Germantown Cares About Affordable Healthcare

OFA (Organizing for Action) Montgomery up-county volunteers distributed almost 600 flyers to Germantown neighbors in grocery stores, churches, restaurants, transit hubs and shopping centers in Montgomery Village on October 20.

The flyers contained details about how the community can register for healthcare under the new Affordable Care Act, which went into effect on October 1, 2013.

Claudine Njike, an OFA volunteer said, "I had a great experience in distributing these flyers.  It took no time to do.  I had a bunch of people thanking me for doing this.  Many were happy to receive this info and came back to get some for other people they knew.  Glad to be part of this.  I had a great time."

The team distributed flyers over 500 English flyers and 50 in Spanish.
