-- WHO: Anyone can donate to appeal, with nonperishable food and monetary donations going to Gaithersburg HELP Food Pantry.

-- WHY WE GIVE: 1 in 7 households in our nation experience food insecurity each day. Started 22 years ago to coincide with the NFL Super Bowl, “Souper Bowl of Caring” has grown to a nationwide annual event involving thousands of partners like Good Shepherd and raising millions to tackle hunger. Souper Bowl’s symbol of a soup pot reminds us to reach out to those without even a bowl of soup to eat.
