Mayor Sidney Katz of Gaithersburg proclaims September 14th Visiting Angels Day!

Visiting Angels celebrates 10 years of service in Montgomery County. Mayor proclaims September 14th, Visiting Angels Day!

Visiting Angels
10-Year Anniversary Celebration a Huge Success!

If you invite them, they will come!  On September 14, 2012, Visiting Angels invited clients, caregivers, referral sources, neighbors, friends and public officials to help us celebrate 10 years of exemplary service to the community.  Over 100 people came to help celebrate and enjoy the carnival-like atmosphere which included a proclamation from the Mayor of Gaithersburg, Sidney Katz, declaring September 14 “Visiting Angels Day”!  Councilmember Phil Andrews joined the celebration and spoke eloquently about Visiting Angels.  Councilmember Valerie Ervin was represented by Joseph Eyong, who also spoke.  Caregivers brought their children and our clients.  There were hot dogs, popcorn and ice cream for all!

A sea of blue, Visiting Angels tee shirts, blanketed the area outside of Visiting Angels’ headquarters in Gaithersburg, MD as our caregivers joined the festivities.  Children ran about with ice cream dripping from their hands and faces with balloons trailing closely behind.  The weather as wonderful and the celebration one that will be remembered for years to come!  Visiting Angels would like to thank everyone who came and shared in our joyous celebration!
