13 Gaithersburg Runners Finish The Boston Marathon
17 runners from Gaithersburg were registered to participate in the race.
Of the 17 runners from Gaithersburg registered for the Boston Marathon, 13 finished the race before two explosions near the finish line of Monday's race, according to race results posted online.
The blasts killed three people and injured as many as 100, according to multiple media reports.

The list does not confirm participation in the race, or even travel to Boston.
Bortnick did not make the trip to Boston due to injury, a friend told Patch.
Two of three registered runners from North Potomac finished the race along with the only registered runner from Montgomery Village.
