23-Year-Old Charged With Burglary In Lowes Break-In

Lamont Alvin White, of the 11000 block of McKay Road in Fort Washington, MD, was arrested and charged with second degree burglary and additional related charges in connection to Sunday's incident at Lowes.

A 23-year-old Fort Washington man was arrested in connection to , according to Gaithersburg City police.

Lamont Alvin White, of the 11000 block of McKay Road, was charged with second degree burglary and additional related charges.

White is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center, according to police. He is scheduled to appear in Montgomery County District Court for a preliminary hearing on June 15.

Officers from Gaithersburg City Police Department and Montgomery County Police Department were dispatched to the , located at 40 Market Street, at 2:24 a.m. on Sunday, May 20, to respond to an alarm, according to Gaithersburg City police.

Upon arrival, the doors were found to be secured. Upon entering the building, a suspect was heard inside the office. Police set up a perimeter around the building and searched the interior but could not find the suspect.

Additional resources were requested at 6:17 a.m. to help find the suspect and access to the shopping center was cut off for the morning hours, according to police

During the investigation, police said, White developed as a suspect and was spotted on Kentlands Boulevard at 1:56 p.m. where he was arrested.
