Armed Robbery, Sex Assault and Burglary in This Week's Crime Summary

P1 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 300 block of Upshire Circle in Gaithersburg on Sunday 4/24 just after 1 am.  The adult male victim was assaulted and had property taken.

• A residential garage burglary occurred in the hundred block of Belinder Court in Gaithersburg between Monday 4/18 at 8:30 pm and Tuesday 4/19 at 6:30 am.  No forced entry, property taken.     

P2 Beat:

• An armed robbery occurred in the commercial parking lot of 12251 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg on Friday 4/22 around 1:20 pm.  The adult male victim was approached by the suspect, who displayed a weapon and obtained property.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 16000 block of Orchard Grove Road in Gaithersburg on Thursday 4/21 around 2:40 am.  No forced entry, unknown if anything was taken.

• An attempted burglary occurred in the 900 block of Clopper Road in Gaithersburg on Saturday 4/23 around 9:30 pm.  Attempted forced entry, nothing taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the hundred block of Napa Valley Road in Gaithersburg on Saturday 4/23 between 1:30 pm and 10:30 pm.  No forced entry, property taken.

• A residential garage burglary occurred in the 1300 block of Main Street in Gaithersburg between Sunday 4/18 and Monday 4/18.  An unlocked vehicle in an open garage was searched.  Nothing was taken.

R1 Beat:

• Three thefts from vehicles occurred in the 18600 block of Kingfisher Terrace in Gaithersburg between Wednesday 4/20 at Thursday 4/21.  Two of the vehicles were unlocked.  Property stolen included a GPS unit and Bluetooth equipment.  

R2 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the area of Centerway Road and Clubhouse Road in Montgomery Village on Friday 4/22 around 2:45 am.  The adult male victim was approached by the suspect who assaulted him and took his property. 

S1 Beat:

A residential burglary occurred in the 200 block of Park Avenue in Gaithersburg on Thursday 4/21 between 1 pm and 11 pm.  Forced entry, property taken.

S2 Beat:

• A sex assault occurred on Monday 4/18 at 3:00 a.m. in the 8200 block of Fountain Valley Drive in Montgomery Village.  The suspect is known to the victim.
