Arrest Made in June Gaithersburg Rape Investigation

Police: Masked man sexually assaulted a female at her Gaithersburg home in June.

Claiming there’s DNA evidence, police have charged a man from Gaithersburg with first-degree rape in the case of a sex assault in Gaithersburg in June, Montgomery County Police said in a news release.

Kadeer Malik Mack, 21, of the unit block of Honeybrook Circle, was arrested Tuesday during a routine traffic stop by Rockville City Police—a day after a warrant was issued for his arrest, county police said.

Police said DNA linked him to a June 12 burglary and sexual assault on Goodpourt Court, where a masked man broke into the residence and confronted a female inside the home.
