Gaithersburg Crime: Aggravated Assault; Commercial, Residential Burglaries

The city of Gaithersburg police department reported the following incidents on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

 

The city of Gaithersburg police department reported the following incidents on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week:

  • An aggravated assault was reported in the unit block of North Summit Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at approximately 8:46 p.m. The victim and a known suspect were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical assault. The suspect was located, placed under arrest and charged accordingly.
    • Arrested: Male, 28, of Gaithersburg
  • A residential burglary was reported in the unit block of McClausland Place on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at 1 a.m. An unknown suspect entered the residence through an unlocked rear sliding door and removed property.
  • An attempted commercial burglary was reported at the Sam's Club, located at 610 North Fredrick Avenue, on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at 1:20 a.m. An unknown suspect attempted to gain entry through the front doors and side doors.
    • Suspect: White male, 40-50 years old, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 250-270 pounds with blonde hair and a mustache. The suspect was last seen wearing a red hat, a gray Redskins t-shirt, blue shorts and black shoes.
