The city of Gaithersburg police department reported the following incidents on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week:
- An aggravated assault was reported in the unit block of North Summit Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at approximately 8:46 p.m. The victim and a known suspect were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical assault. The suspect was located, placed under arrest and charged accordingly.
- Arrested: Male, 28, of Gaithersburg
- A residential burglary was reported in the unit block of McClausland Place on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at 1 a.m. An unknown suspect entered the residence through an unlocked rear sliding door and removed property.
- An attempted commercial burglary was reported at the Sam's Club, located at 610 North Fredrick Avenue, on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at 1:20 a.m. An unknown suspect attempted to gain entry through the front doors and side doors.
- Suspect: White male, 40-50 years old, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 250-270 pounds with blonde hair and a mustache. The suspect was last seen wearing a red hat, a gray Redskins t-shirt, blue shorts and black shoes.
