City Crime: Holiday Weekend Armed Robbery, Burglary

Gaithersburg City police release information about three incidents during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The Gaithersburg City police department has released the following information about three incidents during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend:

  • A commercial burglary was reported in the 400 block of East Diamond Avenue on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 8:23 a.m.. An unknown suspect(s) entered the unoccupied business and removed property.
  • An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 100 block of Rawlings Road on Sunday, Nov. 25, at 12:25 a.m.. An unknown male broke out the window of a back door but did not enter the residence. The suspect then fled on foot.
  • An armed robbery of a business was reported at the Subway located at 501 North Frederick Avenue on Sunday, Nov. 25, at 5:42 p.m.. An unknown male entered the business brandished a black handgun and demanded money. The unknown suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount.
