Crime Summary: Armed Robbery at Choice Market in Montgomery Village

The following incidents were supplied by Montgomery County Police for Gaithersburg and its surrounding region. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of School Drive in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, Oct. 9, between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 17100 block of Queen Victoria Court in Gaithersburg at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15. Forced entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Duvall Lane in Gaithersburg at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred in this beat. No forced entry; vehicle parts taken. Streets affected included West Diamond Avenue and King James Way in Gaithersburg.

An armed robbery occurred in the area of Clopper Road and Firstfield Road in Gaithersburg on Friday, Oct. 11 at 11:20 p.m. Police said two males assaulted the victim and obtained property.

There were four thefts from vehicles during this time frame, all of which occurred in the overnight hours. Streets affected included Holmard Street and Thurgood Street in Gaithersburg. Three of the four of the thefts were from unlocked vehicles.

An armed robbery occurred at the Choice Market, 18700 Walkers Choice Road in Montgomery Village at 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Police said two males—one wearing white gloves and the other wearing black gloves—threatened the victim and obtained property.

An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 9300 block of Willow Creek Drive in Montgomery Village at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15.

An armed robbery occurred in the 20300 block of Aspenwood Lane in Montgomery Village at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10. Police said two males threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

A residential burglary occurred in the 19900 block of Buhrstone Drive in Gaithersburg on Friday, Oct. 11, between 11 a.m. and noon. Unknown entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Watkins Station Circle in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Oct. 10 between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

An aggravated assault occurred in the area of Olde Town Avenue and Fulks Corner in Gaithersburg Avenue on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 5:45 p.m. Police said the people involved knew each other.

A residential burglary occurred in the hundred block of O’Neill Drive in Gaithersburg on Monday, Oct. 14 at 5:06 p.m.  

A residential burglary occurred in the hundred block of Anna Court in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 12:32 a.m. Police said the people involved knew each other.  Arrested: Male, 30, from Gaithersburg

Four thefts from vehicles were reported. Two of the vehicles were left unlocked. Streets affected included: Gaither Road, Helgerman Court, Laurel Valley Place and East Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 7200 block of Millcrest Terrace in Derwood on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1:32 a.m. Police said the alleged victim was threatened with a weapon.
