Crime Summary: Carjacking, Man Sneaks Camera Phone Under Fitting Room Door

The following incidents were supplied by Montgomery County police for Gaithersburg and its surrounding region. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Police said a man placed a camera phone under a fitting room door at Goodwill Industries, 619 S. Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg on Friday, Oct. 18 around 4 p.m.

An 18-year-old man from Gaithersburg was arrested in an armed robbery at the S & N Beer and Wine, at 12839 Wisteria Drive in Germantown on Monday, Oct. 14 at around 10:10 p.m. A 24-year-old man from Germantown was also arrested.

A 12-year-old Gaithersburg boy was arrested after reports of an indecent exposure at around 3:10 p.m Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Ridgeview Middle School, 16600 Raven Rock Drive.

A carjacking occurred in the 10000 block of Ridgeline Drive in Gaithersburg on 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. The victim was threatened with a weapon. Police are looking for three males.

The Jewelry Exchange, 501 North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg, was burgled at around 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21. Forced entry; property taken.

Property was taken from outside a residence in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 at

An aggravated assault was reported at the Wyndham Gardens hotel, 805 Russell Avenue in Gaithersburg, on Friday, Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m. Police said the people involved knew each other.

A residential burglary occurred in the 300 block of Summit Hall Road in Gaithersburg sometime between 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 and 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21. Forced entry; property taken.

Two daytime burglaries occurred at residences the 200 block of Lee Street in Gaithersburg on Friday, Oct. 19. No forced entry; property taken in both incidents.

A daytime burglary occurred at  residence in the 200 block of Park Avenue in Gaithersburg on Friday, Oct. 19. No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 400 block of Girard Street in Gaithersburg between noon and 2 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A 26-year-old Gaithersburg man was arrested after an attempted residential burglary in the 19800 block of Helmond Way in Gaithersburg at 1:30 a.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
