Crime Summary: Gaithersburg Gas Stations Burgled, Sex Assault Arrest

The following incidents were supplied by Montgomery County police for Gaithersburg and its surrounding region. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A commercial burglary was reported at the Etchison Country Store located at 7000 Damascus Road between 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 and 12:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 24200 block of Welsh Road in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Aug. 3, at around 3 a.m. Forced entry; property damaged.. Arrested: Male, 22, from Gaithersburg

A sex assault was reported in the 19800 block of Century Boulevard in Germantown on Monday, Aug. 5 at around 4:45 p.m. The suspect inappropriately touched the victim and was arrested. Arrested: Male, 39, from Gaithersburg

An aggravated assault was reported in the unit block of North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg between Saturday, Aug. 3 and Sunday, Aug. 4. The people involved know each other. Arrested: Male, 28, from Gaithersburg

A commercial burglary was reported between 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 31 and 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 at South Street Steaks, 12207 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg. Forced entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary was reported on Friday, Aug. 2 between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. at the Exxon station, 408 North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg. Forced entry; property taken.

Two thefts from vehicles were reported between 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31 and 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1. No forced entry; incidents were reported on Bucksfield Road and Chevy Chase Street in Gaithersburg. Cash taken.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 9300 block of Chadburn Place in Montgomery Village on Wednesday, July 31 at 1:05 a.m. Police said a male and a female assaulted another person.

A residential burglary was reported in the unit block of Crested Iris Court in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 1:24 a.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 9900 block of Ridgeline Drive in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 12:17 p.m. No further information is available at this time.

A commercial burglary was reported on Friday, Aug. 1 around 5 a.m. at the Walnut Hill Exxon, 16425 South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg. Forced entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary was reported between Thursday, Aug. 1 at 10:30 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 2 at 5:10 a.m. at the Liberty Gas Station, 623 South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg. Forced entry; property taken.

A theft was reported on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 11:43 p.m. at Burger King, 16004 Shady Grove Road in Gaithersburg. Police said a male took property from inside the restaurant.  

Two theft from vehicles were reported between Sunday, Aug. 4 at 8:30 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 5 at 3 p.m. In both events there were no signs of forced entry. Incidents were reported on Torran Rocks Way and Kildonan Drive in Gaithersburg. Purses, credit cards, cash and GPS unit taken.

A vehicle theft was reported in the 7700 block of Laytonia Drive in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 2 a.m. Keys were left inside the vehicle.

Two vehicle thefts were reported in the 300 block of East Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg, between Monday, Aug. 5 and Tuesday, Aug. 6.

An indecent exposure was reported in the 300 block of Washington Grove Lane in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 1:49 p.m. The suspect exposed himself to the victim.

A commercial burglary was reported at AW Landscapes, 16998 Overhill Road in Derwood between Sunday, Aug. 4 at 7 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 5 at 6 a.m. Forced entry; property taken from a garage.
