Crime Summary: Robbery Reported at Marriott, Assault Arrests Made

The following incidents were supplied by Montgomery County police for the Gaithersburg region. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

An armed robbery was reported in the 400 block of Summit Hall Drive in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Police said two males threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. Police are looking for:

  • A 19-year old black male who is 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with short hair, pointy beard, and tattoos on both arms
  • A 17-year old black male who is 5 feet 9 inches tall at 160 pounds with short hair, unshaven, and tattoos on both arms

A commercial strong-armed robbery was reported at the Marriott Courtyard, located at 204 Boardwalk Place in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 3:53 a.m. The suspect forcefully removed property from the victim.

An aggravated assault was reported at Ogie’s, located at 293 Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 8:48 p.m.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 9700 block of Fields Road in Gaithersburg on Monday, Sept. 9 at 1:02 a.m. Police said the people involved knew each other. Arrested: Male, age 47, from Gaithersburg

Two thefts from vehicles were reported on Driscoll Court in Gaithersburg overnight, between Wednesday, Sept. 4 and Thursday, Sept. 5. Both vehicles were unlocked; cash and coins were taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 100 block of Thurgood Street in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Sept. 3, between 5 and 6 p.m. Property was taken from an open garage.

An attempted armed robbery was reported in the 8900 block of Centerway Road in Gaithersburg on Monday, Sept. 9 at 10:30 p.m. Police said two males threatened the alleged victim with a weapon and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property.

A residential burglaries were reported in the unit block of Whetstone Drive in Gaithersburg on Sunday, Sept. 8 between 10:30 a.m. and 6:35 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A strong-arm robbery was reported near the intersection of Rothbury Drive and Spur Hill Road in Montgomery Village at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4. Police said the people involved knew each other.

A strong-arm robbery was reported in front of 19341 Keymar Way in Gaithersburg on Saturday Sept. 7 at 4:34 p.m.

A commercial burglary was reported at The Cleaning Authority, located at 19632 Club House Road in Montgomery Village at 6:11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9. Unknown entry; property taken.

Four thefts from vehicles were reported in this beat between Thursday, Sept. 5 and Monday, Sept. 9. Three vehicles were left unlocked and loose items of value left inside were taken. Streets affected included: Exodus Drive, Duffer Way, Sparr Spring Road, and Knoll Mist Lane in Gaithersburg.

A strong-arm robbery was reported at the intersection of Woodfield Road and Snouffer School Road in Redland near the 7-Eleven. Property was taken. No further information is available at this time.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 300 block of East Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. Police said the people involved knew each other. Arrested: Male, 17, from Gaithersburg

A residential burglary was reported in the 507 block of South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, Sept. 4, between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the unit block of Brighton Drive in Gaithersburg between 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 and 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5. Unknown entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary was reported at James L Muscatello Inc, located at 7901 Beechcraft Avenue in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 5:50 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary was reported at Charles Cook and Son’s, located at 16895A in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Sept. 5. Unknown entry; property taken. 

A residential burglary was reported in the 18200 block of Pinecroft Court in Gaithersburg on Thursday, Sept. 5 between 7 and 10:15 p.m. No forced entry; property taken.
