When you pull up to an intersection and a homeless person is standing in the median, holding a cup and a wrinkled cardboard sign, do you ever wish there were something more you could do than give him your spare change?
If you come out to the Denim & Diamonds Gala tonight from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Gaithersburg Hilton on Perry Parkway, there is.
The Gala will benefit Friends of Wells/Robertson House, Inc., a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, that helps homeless men and women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.

Come wearing jeans and a tuxedo or formal attire, and dance to the "Reunion Band" after enjoying dinner, a silent auction and raffle.
Tickets are $50 per person, but sponsors are also being sought.

"Levels (of sponsorship) include Diamonds ($5,000 – 10 tickets), Gems ($2,500 – 8 tickets), Bell Bottoms ($1,000 – 6 tickets), Capri’s ($500 – 4 tickets), and Shorts ($250 – 2 tickets)," according to the City's website.
