Former Police Chief Applies for Job in Ohio

Former Chief John King has applied for a job at Chief of the Cincinnati Police Department.

Former Gaithersburg Police Chief John King has applied for the top cop position in the City of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Community Press reports.

King is one of the final 10 candidates in a field whittled down from 45.

He abruptly resigned as head of the Gaithersburg force in January 2010 after a tumultuous three-year stay that included a disability pension scandal for which he was ultimately cleared.
