Montgomery County police announced Friday the arrest of a Gaithersburg couple in connection to an and a Nov. 25 robbery of the same restaurant chain in Damascus.
During the investigation of the Oct. 21 robbery, a former employee of a Mount Airy Chipotle, identified as Marvel Alegria, was developed as a possible suspect, police said. Alegria, 22, had been terminated from her job and subsequently made threats to retaliate. Alegria had also spoken to others about committing a robbery, police said.
Lamont Alexander Bonds, Alegria’s boyfriend, was suspected of entering the restaurant and committing the robbery.

Alegria, of the same address, was arrested Thursday and charged with accessory after the robbery, theft scheme of $1,000 to under $10,000, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
